Coffee Apartment is a two-story detached vintage house with a spacious yard, tucked away in a cat-filled military dependents’ village near Hsinchu’s Tsing Hua / Chiao Tung Universities and the Science Park. Lovingly renovated by the Treehouse Design Team, it stands as a natural sanctuary nestled within the city.
The designers incorporated woodwork, handmade natural materials, and bohemian elements into the design. The yard features a hand-painted rug pattern, surrounded by Bird of Paradise plants and a grand Autumn Maple tree. String lights glow softly above a BBQ grill, while camping-style pallet seating with plush cushions creates a cozy vibe, anchored by a large outdoor movie screen.
Inside, the plant-adorned living room is outfitted with a custom handmade pallet sofa, vintage rattan chairs, and thoughtfully curated art prints. The kitchen hosts a dedicated coffee corner, complete with a semi-automatic espresso machine and an artistically designed pour-over kettle.
From the second-floor balcony, you’ll often catch glimpses of local village cats playing on the rooftops, mirroring the vibrant life around the treehouse perched in the Autumn Maple tree.
The bedrooms embody a wooden bohemian aesthetic—featuring hand-sanded wooden pallet bed frames, natural branch clothing racks, woven rattan storage bins, and solid wood desks and chairs that bring natural warmth to every corner.
